Access:
At Vaksdal, on highway 7 between Bergen and Voss, and coming from
Bergen, locate the first tunnel in the 60 zone. Just before the tunnel, exit
right onto a small road. Parking is difficult, but make an effort..

The Trail (Storenuten):
On this small road, follow the first road going up to the left. You will pass
a gate where the trail starts. The trail switchbacks upwards, and when
you get to a small old building of stone on the right hand side, exit to the
left and pick up the trail that runs up through the forest. You have
Storenuten (718m) on your right hand side, across the river. Although it
looks doable to climb up there, continue on the trail you're on, and you'll
have a nicer hike. The trail goes up Bogadalen valley and in a while you'll
get to lake Bogavatnet. Continue towards the top of the pass and climb
Storenuten from there. I got impatient and climbed up from the lake. In
winter time, with ice covered by loose snow, this was a little difficult. Care
should be taken in the winter!
The Trail (Bogafjellet):
From lake Bogavatnet, continue past the first cabin and head on upwards. This is a short and easy walk.
