Introduction

Storehornet (Sandviktua), Litlehornet and Nupen (Nupatinden) are the tops along the ridge between Hallefjorden and Gursken. The normal starting point is Drageskaret (approx. 200m) and Storehornet (1,3km) is reached in less than half an hour. From Storehornet, the path continues all the way to Nupen (3,7km from Drageskaret). This is an easy walk with a good coastal view.

The Storehornet cairn is quite impressive. The text on the plaque says (New Norwegian text):

Sandviktua/Storehornet, 271 m.o.h
2000-års Varden

Bygt av turgåaarar i 1999 i regi av idrettslaga
Gursken I.L    Larnes I.L
