Day two of the three-day sunny period after weeks of rain. I had taken the day before off to hike Veranuten and Samlen. Work matters, and today I had only time for a short afternoon walk. I chose to get further familiar with Arnanipa. I had hiked up from Åsheim a couple of times before, but this time I decided to have a look at the south side.
I had no clue about any trails, but found it less than likely that a good trail didn't exist. After all, Indre Arna isn't a small place, and Arnanipa sits on top of quite a number of people. I asked a couple out walking, and they pointed me towards a forest road that I could follow up towards the mountain.
We left the car 16:45PM. Troll lost interest in walking after making sure all dogs in Indre Arna & vicinity knew that the "Hordafjell dog" had been around. After a slow pace up the mountain, we reached the summit 17:40PM. I had convinced Troll to walk on the way up the ridge, and at the summit he was claiming the lunch box. There was none, and I took a round of pictures to the tunes of misery.
On the way down, Troll suddenly screamed and fell over. He had injured his foot, and had to be carried down. Besides this incident, the hike was quite uneventful. The nice afternoon colors and shadows were what I took away as memories from this hike.
