Haram
municipality borders
to Giske, Ålesund, Skodje, Vestnes and Midsund, and the village of
Brattvåg is the administrative centre.
Haram is a fascinating
coastal region. In addition to the mainland peninsula (often
called Haramlandet), the municipality also spans the islands
Løvsøya (Lepsøya), Haramsøya, Skuløya (Flemsøya), and
Fjørtofta. Bjørnøya, Terøya and Kalvøya are among the
smaller islands. The highest point is Blåskjerdingen (1069),
which is one of the finest viewpoints on Sunnmøre. All of
the Haram tops are very accessible.
