Introduction

Velji Grad is a coastal peak located 20km southeast of Budva and 9km northwest of Bar. A mountain road (closed for public cars) offers an easy hike up the mountain. The reward is a great coastal view from the summit.

Route 1: Velji Grad along the mountain road

Access:

  • Starting point; Tivat airport
  • Drive E65/E80 southeast to Budva (approx. 29km)
  • Continue on E65/E80 southeast to the M2.4/E65/E80 junction west of Sutomore (approx. 27km)
  • Continue 1,3km along M2.4/E851, then turn right
  • Drive 1,7km in the direction of the beach, then turn right.
  • Drive 1,2km upwards through a cabin village, then turn left onto an unpaved road
  • Drive 0,7km. The mountain road begins here. The road ahead is restricted area.
