Hetlebakksåta seen from E39 |
Introduction
In the "shadow" of the more known Åsane mountains - Veten and Høgstefjellet, you will find Hetlebakksåta. Hiking this mountain/hill can best be described as "a moderate walk". However, there are some good views up there.
Hetlebakksåta (M711: 334m, Ø.K: highest contour is 330m) has a primary factor of 231m towards the higher Storsåta (435m) The saddle is found on highway E16, W of Byrkjelandsnipa. Ref. Økonomisk Kartverk (5m contours), you cross the 105m contours on the high route, but not 100m. The saddle height has been interpolated to 103m.
